Wonder Valley: Homesteads considers ideas of place - dwelling and landscape - as they relate to structures abandoned by departed homesteaders in the particular setting in which they were built. The grid view, while giving some typological insight into the variety of the cabins' form, also encourages us to consider the surrounding desert landscape which surrounds and gradually reclaims them. Far from being a monotonous expanse, the desert floor shows a staggering variety of colour and texture.
